It's a bit cerebral I suppose, but I think this site is incredibly cool - http://www.nutritiondata.com/index.html
You can generate the nutritional data for a food, a recipe, or even a whole day's food. It lets you save your own "pantry" so you don't need to re-enter things you use all the time (unless you clear your cookies!). Now let's see... oysters: strongly anti-inflammatory. Who knew?

O my! You cannot know how many hours of my life you just sucked away. I'm the uber geek kid who spent hours in the encyclopedia and dictionary. My vision of heaven was the place where I'd get all the answers. Not even kidding. Maybe that was TMI...

LOVE it!!

(but don't you wonder how they can be anti-inflammatory and aphrodesiac? *wink*)

As the topic is "Food websites", I have found the following helpful tools.

This tool shows how many calories, fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and other nutrients there is in the food (I think it's similar to Nutritiondata): http://www.healthassist.net/nutrients/

And here is calorie burn calculator, but not the usual one, it shows how much time you need to burn calories you have consumed doing what you usually do: http://www.healthassist.net/nutrients/ca...
