In response to Conscious consumption posted by cookbook:

I was just enjoying tapas with a girlfriend and we pondered how many of our local friends on the farm forego California wines...or how many people who buy organic from across the country count the environmental "footprint" of the trucking...I always encourage supporting local farms, for all the good reasons that exist, but I agree...moderation is key.
