Blueberries are one of those things that freeze well. If you are going to use frozen ones, I recommend looking for the small Maine blueberries and/or organics. Really, any will do. I'd start with less sugar, let the berries sit for a bit then, taste. Easier to add sugar than take away.
It's great fun to try and even the bad ones aren't too bad! Let me know if I can help. I'd love to hear how it goes, if you can get leaf lard it'll make it even better...that reminds me I was going to give readers that info! I'll post it now on my blog...
